Chris Huston-BandGeekRecords Recently saw Mississippi Bones live (Indiana), and was quite impressed by the fusion of styles. The dual vocals provide a push and pull, while the rhythm section lays down some great grooves.

To me Mississippi Bones plays "soulful-sludge grounded in stoner rock."

Looking forward to listening to the rest of the catalog. Favorite track: Solipsism For Beginners.

Lute FP This band is great- like a more interesting Clutch. The addition of female vocals feels like the missing ingredient that elevates them to their own, unique sound.

FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Reasons to celebrate: Three new Mississippi Bones tracks.
Reasons to be sad: ONLY three new Mississippi Bones tracks. Favorite track: Parable of the Taxidermist's Dilemma.

bassblues Not a bone is out of place despite the recent band personnel changes. Hard hitting and heavy drums. Sweet and harmonious vox from the new lady in the band. Great stuff. You more than fill Heather's unique spot in the band.
Play Hammandsburg on 4.29 with LLC! Rock and Roll Church!
Great stuff, MB! Favorite track: Solipsism For Beginners.

Quotidian quotient, exponential. Stepford stepped forth to steep fjords too steep to save uncanny valley. I mean, the median? Nah, man, you can keep it. I want that low brow at roadside, back alley highway, Grade A, B-list, first-rate amateurs. Anubis got a new bus, but I’m more cruisin’ with the wolf man hangin' out a Winnebago. Hard lesson learned. So many squirrels lost. Hard lessons learned. Now, necessity is the mother of invention, she calls me “baby daddy.” It’s complicated, I suppose, though, only if you try to explain it, but I had her take the test and it came back maybe. Conclusively, without question, a possibly, and that’s good enough for me. So if you can’t see, it means that everything I need is charging alimony on everything I think. Hard lesson learned. So many squirrels lost. Hard lessons learned. You can pull it all together with a needle and thread. Wise words coming from a taxidermist.

There is no true Scotsman, only Zuul And since I’ve been known to sing out of tune the Keymaster, I am not. I’m just another schlock locksmith content with letting Zuul keep the gate according to its own smug judgments. If you know, you know, you know? I ate my sacred cows long ago, well done with ketchup. How’s that for tragic? A rite of passage for the undesired that exposes the magic. Incantations and the symbols that shape all to come. Deriving their power from their belief that there is none. They become. Now take ‘em to church. Crack the throttle Let it go. Screw the scene. And rock n’ roll. Predictability is not control, but it’s just as good in a pinch. You praise the rebel And break the mold. Til the un becomes conventional. It happens every time. It’s predictable, and why magicians won’t expose their secrets. If you know, you know, you know? Ignore the timelines that you're fed, no need for global acceptance, mind your thoughts that's all that counts in a world of social first, fight those demons everyday is not an option but a curse, just one look inside those eyes and you'll see how darkness works Poor honey in their ear they'll bend the knee to any man, far back as we can read talking always was the scam, sharp tongues control the floors bashing any contradicting plan, jaws dropped those lines you bought conspiracy theory wasn't a scam. Now take em to church.

Failing to plan is planning to fail, and as a pessimist, I know those ducks are already in a row and falling like dominoes. It’s not the best plan, but it’s a plan. Evolution, the Devil, the thumb, or the apple? I don’t know. But man tamed fire, and now I gotta work 40 hours a week to pay bills. Evolution, the Devil, the thumb or the apple? I don’t know. Some Sumerian invented agriculture and all I got was this lousy high-functioning anxiety. To tell the truth, I’ve been doing lots of thinking lately. Mainly on the topic of all of my overthinking. It’s got me thinking if I stopped that I’d achieve more. No doubt, it’s a vicious cycle for sure. Evolution, the Devil, the thumb, or apple? I don’t know, But man tamed fire and now I gotta work 40 hours a week to pay bills. Evolution, the Devil, the thumb, or the apple? I don’t know. Some Sumerian invented agriculture and all I got was this lousy high functioning anxiety. And they say well that’s life, but then again they say all kinds of shit, like, “You gotta pull yourself up by the bootstraps when you fall down on your ass.” Who the fuck is teaching you physics? Wasn’t Mr. Okapal, that’s for damn sure. Shaka, when the walls fell.
