Parade of the Damned

from Wise Words from the Uninformed by Mississippi Bones

/

lyrics

Gathered together for no reason that’s clear,
But the fires were burning and we were already here.
This procession seems endless when time has no sway,
So gather your spare parts and rattle your chains.
If the devil ain’t here yet, I don’t know what to say.
He probably ain’t coming. It was always his way,
But that’s never stopped us from keeping the pace,
So brace for a long night in this endless parade.

On we march.
On burn the fires,
The Cyclops hungrily delighted.
On the rocks the creature seems to ponder,
“Did we choose evil, or made this way I wonder?”

Those with the passion can learn to create.
There are endless worlds unmade still laying in wait,
But our wonders and our dreams have dried with the paint,
So we brace for a long night in this endless parade.

On we march.
On burn the fires,
The Cyclops hungrily delighted.
On the rocks the creature seems to ponder,
“Did we choose evil, or made this way I wonder?”
