Welcome to the gallery of the ganglion. Sun apes and synapses swirl and explode, showering us all in our own misplaced adulation. In here, it’s best to keep your head down and your eyes open.

The tune rolls out like a notated highway. The voice in my head reminds me of the singing detective. In the distance a conversation, something about Patty Hearst or a bottle of whiskey…I dunno. Maybe Heather will get it.

It’s all dissonance. The trick I’ve found is to remember objects are closer than in the mirror. Delirium, our fearless captain, says the storms not showing any signs of slowing now.

Beasts of burden shuffle on by, backs nigh broken heads held up high, tired eyes still seeming to glow. Wonder what they know that I don’t.

And as the storm hits critical mass the brush strokes become wild, abstract to the point of satire. The metaphor is lost to chaos, and as the ship breaks in two, the clouds start to part, and it becomes obvious it was just another passing Sunday
